Acetobactor (Gomaxx- Aceto)

Acetobactor (Gomaxx- Aceto) is a biological fertilizer that contains vegetative cells of Acetobacter diazotrophicus. It is manufactured as a carrier-based powder with CFU count of 5 X 10 ^ 7 / g. and as 1*10^8 CFU/ml Liquid. It is approved for use in organic agriculture and is based on a selected strain of nitrogen-fixing symbiotic aerobic bacteria -Acetobacter diazotrophicus ( MTCC 1226 ) which are naturally occurring substances. It has a unique metabolism that can actively fix atmospheric nitrogen aerobically. It is found in a symbiotic relationship with plants (such as sugar cane and coffee) as an endophyte and gets associated with plants by colonizing their internal tissues.

Acetobacter Diazotrophicus is capable of surviving in high sugar concentrations. These are specifically used in sugar cane crops. Over-dependence and abuse of nitrogenous fertilizers that are based on fossil, fuel/chemicals can deplete the beneficial soil microbial organisms. Chemical nitrogenous fertilizers cost is increasing day by day making it unaffordable to farmers day by day. Biological nitrogen fixation ( BNF) is a proven concept for over a century and is a cost-effective proposition.

Mode of Action:

Nitrogen has strong triple bonds between them making it inert and difficult for plants to be absorbed and nonassimable by plants. Acetobactor (Gomaxx- Aceto) is capable of fixing Nitrogen in the roots, stems, and leaves of the sugarcane plants.

BioActive compound synthesis:

Acetobacter diazotrophicus produces growth-promoting substances such as Indole acetic acid (IAA), and gibberellins that promote root proliferation and increase the rootlet density and root branching which results in increased uptake of mineral and water which promotes cane growth and sugar recovery from the cane.

Method of Application:

Sett Treatment: Mix 2.5 Kg of Acetobactor (Gomaxx- Aceto) with 200 L of water and soak the setts for 30 minutes in this solution and then plant in the main field.

Note: Do not store treated sets for more than an hour.

Soil application:

Mix 5 Kg/ acre of Acetobactor (Gomaxx- Aceto) with 100 Kg of compost/ FYM and apply to an acre of soil within 3 months of planting of sugarcane.

Drip Irrigation:

Mix 1 Kg / 1 L of Acetobactor (Gomaxx- Aceto) insufficient quantity of water to dissolve it. Filter the solution and use this solution in a drip stream for 1 Acre of land.
